Praise the Lord for our brother Minoru’s sharing concerning his personal experiences under the perfecting of the ministry, particularly in learning to deal with the Lord to have a heart to care for other people.
Our brother pointed to two significant "bookends" along a 20-year journey—beginning in 1975 and continuing into the mid-1990s—when the Lord unveiled to him more of His heart and love for people. This fellowship reminds us that it is not sufficient merely to be spiritual or to enjoy a happy church life for ourselves. We need to come before the Lord seriously and allow His light to shine upon us, dealing with our disposition and every barrier that hinders us from being deeply infused with His love and heart for people.
Our brother also recommended several scripture and ministry references. In particular, our brother encouraged us to spend the next nine weeks getting into the book "The Normal Way of Fruit-bearing and Shepherding for the Building Up of the Church". The suggested pace is to read one chapter each week, using the ministry and its referenced scriptures as an opportunity to come before the Lord, deeply open to Him, and allow Him to deal with us.
A digital copy of this book is available at www.ministrybooks.org. Hard copies may also be ordered through Amana.
We have also compiled the additional references shared by our brother here.

May the Lord further gain a prevailing testimony among us through this kind of sincere endeavoring!
